Give them this to perch on.

It is my dream to do one of my rooms in a Chinoiserie style bird wallpaper.  However, I always back down because of the cost and the fear that when I get it up on the wall, I'll realize that my Texas ranch tract house is not meant for such grandeur and otherworldly beauty.  Maybe just a small accent wall or some panels or what?  Help me out here!

A texas ranch house sounds like the perfect place for beautiful bird wallpaper. See? Drop the chinoiserie and it's not so formidable. But seriously, all the images are lovely and not haughtily haute. I guess the main thing is the scale of the wallpaper's print versus the room and things in it. - jean

They are very beautiful - I think all you need is a bit of confidence and the right setting. Agree though that a whole room might be overpowering, so just an accent is probably best.

I know exactly what you mean! I live out in the woods and am always questioning my judgment of new home decor....is this toooo fussy for the setting? I think anonymous makes a good point: its bird wallpaper, that doesn't sound scary at all!

I have decorated a screen with wall paper I loved.
I could send you a picture if you want,
It turned out lovely!
In my opinion;)
And you could also only use it on a fragment of a wall, behind a bed or a dressoir.
