Rings | LuxDivine
Before I had kids, I used to wear a fistful of chunky rings on each hand. Why did I stop? I can't remember. Perhaps they got caught on hair or got in the way of a fast diaper change. Whatever the reason, I think its time to reinstate my oversized ring wearing habits. I'm in love with these gorgeous pieces from LuxDivine. Oh my oh my. I want them all!

Loretta is will be making a custom sterling silver photo necklace for one La Maison Boheme reader. The jewelry is cast in sterling silver and given a matte finish with an eco-friendly process. She is in the process of adopting a child from China and as part of her adoption journey, she discovered a work-from-home company called Noonday Collection that empowers impoverished communities in Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador and Vietnam. Read all about this cool company and their impact on these communities HERE.

Octavia Bloom Winner
Hello dear readers - sorry I'm posting so late today. My office is in a tail spin and my computer is buried beneath a pile of books and paper. I had to wait until my man returned home from work with his laptop.
Yesterday, my husband and I rearranged our entire home. Everything except for the living room had some kind of major change. The house is put back together, but my office is still in the ground zero stages. So, onto the business of the day...
Congratulations to Robinanne,
winner of a 50 dollar gift certificate to Octavia Bloom!
Thank you to everyone who entered.
Have a great Monday!

Giveaway from Octavia Bloom
Hello and happy Monday! Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods and we are celebrating with a giveaway! This week, La Maison Boheme readers have a chance to win a 50 dollar gift certificate from Octavia Bloom, an online shop filled with gorgeous handmade jewelry. Octavia Bloom is the brainchild of Jenny Christiansen, a jewelry artist living in Bozeman, Montana. This is what she has to say about her work:
I love the wildflowers of Spring and their shameless displays of themselves. Bright and bold, on the side of dusty old roads, or romantic and free, in hidden alpine meadows. The jewelry I create is my tribute to these wild beauties. While out on morning walks my eyes are drawn to them and my mind absorbs the colors, shapes and textures of these wild blooms. Then later, tucked away in my old school house studio, I try to recreate these beauties. My hope is that wearing or viewing my jewelry gives you a sense of the wondrous, natural world we live in full of beautiful, blossoming wildflowers. ~ Jenny

Texas artist, Rachel Anderson and I have never met, but we will soon. (Seriously - Rachel, I'm coming to Austin in October and I'd love to have coffee.) Rachel created the "Material Girl" Cuff Bracelet just for you! It's made with upcycled rope, cotton fibers, scraps of upholstery and vintage buttons. The colors in this piece are mint, teal, coral and taupe.
Some highlights about One Man's Trash: everything is handmade, incorporating recycled and reused elements. Rachel also prides herself on quick shipping. Every time I've ordered from her, my things arrive pronto! To learn more about her work, click HERE.

Feathers
I've been enjoying the resurgence of the "feather as jewelry" trend that I've been seeing lately. My mother used to wear feathers in the early 70's. She once gave me a old pair of peacock earrings when I was thirteen years old. I vowed to love them forever and then lost them before I graduated high school. Where are all the wonderful things my mother gave me in my teens? Maybe they'll turn up someday.
