Create Some Drama

I guess I've always been kind of a drama queen. My grandmother was calling me "Sarah Bernhardt" when I was old enough to cut my own potatoes. I don't throw epic fits anymore, but I'm still prone to exaggeration and wearing red. I usually, however, keep my drama confined to the decorating and design of my home.  Here are some lovely dramatic spaces to get your creative juices flowing.

The Perfect Room

I just spotted this photo at Savvy Home. Its from an Italian Ski Lodge House tour in Marie Claire Maison Italia.  The house is incredible, but this room in particular has me smiling big time.  Cozy, boho, bookish, euro, industrial, and inviting.  Dreamy!

Peace

Dear Universal Goddess of Motherhood and Faith,

Today I need a little peace.  I've been battling a double ear infection for almost two weeks, my son - Charlie - has also been sick with snot and fever and crying bouts that do not end, and I have not had more than three hours sleep in a row for going on three weeks.  So today, Universal Mother in the Sky, I ask for a little peace, a little quiet and a little rest.

Your faithful daughter,
Sarah
