Moroccan Doorways

I love this door shape. It's found all over Morocco and North Africa. My dream is to one day create a cobalt blue tiled garden gate in this beautiful shape. Until then, here are some inspiring photos.

White, Wood, and a Touch of Gray

What a refreshing color combo.  I need a little serenity on this cloudy day in Dallas, so I'm filling this post with gorgeous, quiet, spacious, calm rooms. My life has been nothing short of crazy this week.  My son has been having seizures, I've been recovering from an ear infection and I've just begun rehearsals for a show.  I need a zen moment.  How about you?

Easy Breezy Boho Day

There is nothing better than a gauzy dress, a light breeze and a few open hours.  This is not how I'll be spending my day, but I sure wish it was.  Today I'm running errands with kids in tow, prepping meals and doing a large back-log of laundry. Maybe I'll keep my eyes open for a gauzy dress while I'm running errands.

Pastel Patterns

Its January and the dark days and cold nights require a certain kind of clothing- heavy cover-ups and water-resistant coats.  Gray wool, black felt, brown leather are called into action.  But today, I saw a woman wearing a mint green cashmere sweater.  She reminded me that even winter can be light, airy and even a bit whimsical.  Let's change things up and throw a pastel print into our winter wardrobes.

Global Texture

Nothing is more exciting to me than the idea of traveling around the world collecting gorgeous global textiles and then coming home to strew them all around my house.  I love this look.  I always have and probably always will.  When I hear the phrase, "Live with what you love", these are the kinds of images that pop into my head.

Tile and Textile

Once again, I am completely seduced into the world of heavily layered and ornate spaces.  I guess, I'm just not meant for simple, clean interiors.  I love Swedish and modern design as much as the next girl, but my Bohemain heart beats a little faster when I see photos like the ones below.
