I love delivering a piece of commissioned art to a client. There's always that terrifying moment when they're taking in the artwork for the first time - their eyes scanning and assessing. Then, usually, a smile blooms on their face and I can breathe again. It's this amazing dance between painting from the center of my creative impulse while also keeping in mind my client, their personality, their space and their wishes. Today, I handed over the piece pictured below to a happy, smiling client. I can't wait to see it in their space!
