British Invasion

My husband works in the theater as a voice and dialect coach and is currently teaching a bevy of British accents to a group of marvelous actors at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. In honor of his efforts, I give you today's post. Enjoy!

Faking a British accent really does make you feel better. My daughter and I do it all the time, and it is driving my husband nuts. But its so fun, and of course you are convinced that you are very good at it and everyone is enjoying it! He has limited us to about one sentence per half hour, but it's no use. We're just too good.

(On a related note: I read recently on a blog that a twelve-year-old girl {I think} named her hamster "Govna" just so that she could walk in the room and say in a British accent, "Hello, Govna!" I love that.)
