I'm having trouble picking a paint color for my kitchen. The rest of the house is pretty cool and muted in terms of wall color. Maybe my kitchen needs a bold, colorful, patterned wallpaper to shake things up. Any of you dear readers have wallpaper in your kitchens? How does it hold up? Was it crazy difficult to paste around all the kitchen nooks and crannies? I'd love to see photos! If you feel like sharing, shoot me an email at LaMaisonBoheme@gmail.com.

i love wallpaper in a kichen. seems the easiest to clean too. plus you could put up a glass (or plexiglass) cover next to the dirtiest places. i say go for it. pick your fave. my only advice is in a small space GO BIG PATTERN.
My mother had wallpaper in the kitchen of the house I grew up in. It was great and would be so in now-very funky retro. Her kitchen had dark wood and the colours were blue and green (her favourites) The counter was chartreuse. The wall paper had large abstract flowers and she applied it in the backsplash space as well as on one full wall of the eating area. It was I don't remember if it was paper or vinyl but I'm inclined to think paper. It held up beautifully for twenty years.
Wallpaper is great in a kitchen. My favorite was a small brown and white floral print in the house we had on Olive st. You were only two or three, so you probably don't remember it. It's easy to get in the nooks and crannies if you have a real sharp blade in your cutter. Vinyl is a little harder to work with. All types hold up well and clean easily. Good luck, and remember, Grampa John is in your gene pool.
I love the idea of wallpaper in the kitchen. The connection with the past and the new designs. I think it will be a bit more fun for people that don't like to cook :)...
