Holy Smoke

I've been burning a lot of incense lately. And not just incense - candles, smudge sticks - anything that makes a lovely smell and purifies my space. A friend of mine used to call me a Hedge Witch, which is an herbalist who uses tinctures and dried plants to heal and spell cast. From what I understand, Hedgwitchery is loosely based on the old wise woman tradition, one of the oldest eclectic magical traditions. The hedge witch serves as midwife, seer, healer, maker of magic charms. And while I certainly don't practice any black arts, I do embrace the hedge witch image and connect my burning of dried herbs to prayer, healing and space clearing. Do you have a little hedge witch inside of you too? What's your favorite thing to burn in your space?

I don't burn them, but the only thing I have going in my house is diffusing Essential Oils. I am addicted!!! My favorite is DoTERRA. Now, this is a multi level marketing company, but I do believe their oils are far superior to others. I would never buy EO's at my local natural foods store. By the way, I'm signed up just so I can get wholesale prices, so don't think I'm trying to convert you. I just simply love them and want to pass it along!
