Café Life

It takes a certain kind of city to support a real coffee house. I'm not talking about sitting at a Starbucks, I'm talking about real café life: the birth place of revolutions, manifestos, subversive books, underground periodicals, music, art and all things counter-culture. My current home city, Dallas TX, seems to be without a serious café scene. Please... someone... recommend your favorite Dallas café !

Hmmmmmm. Interesting..... Of course, it is the people who make the PLACE "real", don't you think?

from my own experince those types of cafes are mostly in cities that attract people with that mindset. san francisco, los angeles, new york, chicago. i have been to cafes in all of those cities and where i live now, there is just starbucks! have never ever been to starbucks.
