This Week in the Studio

I'm breaking out this week, trying my hand at some new stuff.  I've been so inspired by the MoMA exhibition I saw last month in New York.  It infused my work with some new creative impulses.  So first up is this bad boy - 36 inches squared:

Abstract Study  -  36 x 36 acrylic on canvas

Here it is over my hearth this morning:

I'm still obsessed with the sea, though.  I don't think I'll ever stop painting the ocean.  This is what comes of a California girl moving to land locked Dallas:

Seafaring  -  8 x 10 acrylic on canvas

And finally, I took a painting class this week with some girlfriends.  We all painted houses and I chose to paint my Mama's farm house in Oregon.  Mama, this is in the mail and on its way!

Eagle Farm  -  16 x 20 acrylic on canvas

Of course you can find more in the shop.
Thanks for looking!

I love the fact that you stretch yourself, by trying all kind of art styles. It's wonderful to be so diverse. I can't wait to get the house painting!
