Year of the Horse

I've always loved John Collier's "Lady Godiva" (below). I was born in the Chinese year of the horse and have always felt an affinity with these amazing animals. My parents love to tell the story that as a young girl, I wrote a letter to God asking for a horse and then tucked in under my pillow.  I guess I thought God had the same delivery techniques as the Tooth Fairy. Today's post is dedicated to my girlhood love of horses and the fantasy that I might one day become one with these beautiful beasts.

Hello Sarah,
I saw your blog on another friends, and I have to say, I'm glad I came over to visit because I have a bit of a Bohemian flare too. We also live in California. And my daughter loves Interior Design, and has her degree in it. It sounds like we have much in common. I love these horse pictures, especially the first one. It reminds me of the time that I was almost bucked off a wild one once. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with beauty, and the Bohemian images I love. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

Great post. I, too, am a Horse (fire horse, no less!). I also designed a necklace with the Lady Godiva image as the pendant - it's a popular seller on my website!

Have a lovely weekend...
