I have fallen in love with the home, studio and art of Claire Basler. She lives in a former iron factory on the outskirts of Paris. The line between her home, work and art seems to be very thin. I love the passionate and messy exuberance that emanates from her art and home.
"I, a beast among all the others because of this great weights of hills,
juniper trees, thyme, wild air, grasses, sky, wind, and rain that I have
within me."
Solitude de la Pitié, Jean Giono

Wow, she really does have her own unique style.
Just beautiful!
Thank you so much for introducing me to Claire Basler. I am not a huge fan of floral paintings, but I LOVE her wispy style, colors, etc. Love the big scale, and her studio is amazing!
Nice to find you!
