My Dream Cottage

One day I'll have a little cottage retreat somewhere in the wilds of Oregon to write and play and garden and weave and grow old.  My dream cottage is quaint in all the ways that only an old cottage can be, but its also a functional place to house me, my family and all our creative soul-projects.  It might look something like this...

Where is your dream retreat?
What does it look like?

how strange and beautiful it is that in spite living in two different worlds people can have same dreams...

My dream is to live on a property in rural France, walk to the boulangerie and patisserie, spot a bargin at the local markets, then cook up a storm in my stone farmhouse with beautiful views! However, I do live in a remarkable house we built in Austalia which is pretty special and retreat-like. Very similar to some of the images in your post. I feel blessed xxCorrina.

You've pretty much nailed it! I'd like to specify the Oregon coast, please.

Sarah....what a dreamy post. I love it. AND I LOOOOVE my gift from the Flights of Whimsy Gift swap. I finally remembered to check my PO Box today and sure enough it had been there for a long time already (I think they were even about to send it back to you, oops). I was excited to see it was from you and before I opened it, I knew it would be fabulous. Been a follower of your blog for a long time. As soon as I can get photos of it in day light, I will post about it and link to you. Thank you, Thank you Thank you.

My dream would be to have a similar cottage, but located within ten miles (at most) from my current home. That way, I could go there at the drop of a hat. I could still visit my local friends, shop at my local stores, etc., but I'd be living a different (more relaxed) lifestyle... sort of a parallel universe.

I could live there, yes I could and I think we could be very happy there.

I want to wish a Happy New Year and all the best in the world. Thank you for being next to me in this amazing blog world.
