Turquoise Pop in the Kitchen

Interior design and decor is all about delighting the senses in one way or another.  And your kitchen, while more utilitarian than most spaces in your home, is the perfect opportunity to create delight.  Of course you have the sight and smell of wonderful food, coffee, etc - but you also have the opportunity to create visual impact and delight with color.  To create a sense of play, humor and delight, I always love a pop of turquoise in the kitchen.

A home isn't a home unless there is turquoise about...especially in the kitchen! We just have the pop of a turquoise bowl and pitcher at the moment...but at least they're there.
The second image has always been one of my favorites...I studied it to death, as well as the rest of the house, when we were building 24C. Our home came out looking nothing like this one, but the inspiration of it all kept me going, and dreaming.
