Cultivate Solitude

Hello dear readers! I'm back from a long weekend away in Cayucos, California where I attended a family reunion and the blessing of my son, Charlie.  My husband and older son were unable to attend, so Charlie and I were on our own.  I didn't realize how much I needed a little alone time with my baby. The last six months have been a whirl wind of doctor appointments, therapy sessions and meetings with specialists - all in an effort to help my son recover from a grade 4 stroke he suffered in utero. I am so grateful for the time we had alone together this weekend, and I am happy to be home once again!

Now that I'm home, I'm refreshed and ready to pick up the reigns again!  I will post more photos from the trip and from the blessing, but until then, enjoy the photo below.  It was taken on the morning of his blessing.  (Don't you love the duvet cover he's lying on?  Its in the guest room at my step-sister's home.)

How wonderful that you've had some time to refresh and regroup. You are a strong, strong woman -- certainly the past six months, and surely the period prior, have been taxing for you.
Thank goodness your little one looks radiantly healthy, happy and kicking ;)
May the next six months be easier on you both.
Happy blessings to you and yours, Alcira

Oops! I guess you were the last one to use my computer! Too funny. That last comment was actually from your Mama.
