Clutter Comfort

I'm a sucker for overstuffed spaces filled to the brim with creative clutter.  Maybe its my Scottish blood.  Maybe I'm a maximalist.  How about you?  Does creative clutter buoy your spirits or does it make you batty?

For some reason, the older I get, the less clutter I like.

I do love the photos, and tend to like organized clutter, but I have been living with organized clutter for two years and I yearn for minimalism!

Gorgeous all. I love the comfort and security of an eclectic, cluttered space. However, I find myself living between that constant urge to expand and to contract in my everyday life.
It's a glorious power struggle.
Cheers, Alcira

Yes, it is the Scottish blood as I sit in my living room with every flat surface filled with prize possessions that I never tire of enjoying. I would trade it for the world...

Interesting subject! I love all these rooms, especially the dining room with the purple chairs and the library (LOVE that rug!) - I would not call them cluttered, but rather charming and homely.

I don't like stark spaces. Thinking of my own home, rooms where I need to relax (living room at the end of the day, bedroom) have to be without unnecessary clutter, but my work space is what many would call messy, to me it is comforting and inspiring.
