Atlanta or Bust

My husband has a week off for spring break (yay!), so he and I have set off on our first family road trip!  Here was my view from the front seat:

We drove from Dallas to Atlanta and along the way we saw everything from the sublime...

... to the ridiculous.

Yesterday, we met up with Jenny from My Favorite and My Best for lunch at Star Provisions in West Atlanta.  This was the first time I've met Miss Jenny in person... and I have to say she was crazy mean.  She was really rude, bringing us to this awesome restaurant and treating me and my family to coffee and cupcakes.  Then, in a weird fit of rage, she tried to snap Walker's head off.

Then she got my kid all jacked up on sugar from a Smore's Cupcake...

...and convinced him that there was a snake pit at the bottom of the steps to the restaurant.

Okay, for realsies... Jenny, it was so nice meeting you in person. You are every bit as amazing as I imagined you might be.  Thank you for a lovely afternoon and the best cupcake I've ever put in my face.  Let's do it again soon!

After our lunch date with the Queen of Snark, I took this amazingly cute photo of Charlie, who is 7 months old now.  It was too adorable not to share with ya'll.

Aw. Relish every second! Some of my most cherished childhood memories are of family road trips. Priceless enjoyment.

How fantastic! What an adventure -- good ole aunt Jenny ;) Grrr....
So, so glad you all took a breather and have set out on the road.
Good luck with your adventures and kisses to the boys.
Cheers, Alcira

Soy seguidora de tu blog. De las fotos, porque no hablo inglés. Pero tu bebe, me tiene absolutamente enamorada. Enhorabuena por tus niños y tu exquisito gusto.

Sarah,

It was so great to see you and Jack again and to meet your wonderful boys. I love your blog and am now an official fan. You are such a beautiful and inspiring person (and you know how I feel about Jack). Your visit to Atlanta came at exactly the right time to help me get my groove back. Thanks for being part of my life. (Oh, and Keith thinks you're both pretty fabulous, too). Hugs from us both.
