Dark Walls

I'm always initially intimidated to go dark on my walls.  But then, when I finally do, I love it.  My two favorite rooms in my home are my black/blue dining room and my sable gray bedroom.

And just because this is too adorable not to share... here is a photo of Charlie sleeping in his sling yesterday afternoon.  Does it get any better than this?

First off, how incredibly precious-I so so miss that beautiful stage when you could carry them around all nestled up- so lovely. As for the dark walls, I'm itching to do this somewhere in my house but am running out of rooms- maybe a bathroom:) I adore that shot with the green chair- that farbic has been making me crazy since I first laid eyes on it.

My favorite kitchen ever, had brown wallpaper with a tiny white flower print. It was small, but somehow, the dark walls really made it look bigger. I love your dining room color too. Also, the baby is SWEEEET.

What a beautiful moment with your son. My youngest is 9 months old now; and I will use any excuse I can find to get him in his moby wrap! So cozy . . . just like the perfect dark room. My son James' room is a deep chocolate brown, and everything just pops! Enjoy! xo Samantha

I adore dark walls, especially in rooms that should feel cozy, like a bedroom or library. My bedroom walls were in deep garnet at one point, but now I'm going with plum. Rather than feeling depressing, I think dark walls are comforting. Great post!

That third image of the living room with deep blue walls is gorgeous! It's definitely going into my inspiration files!
