Bench seating with throw pillows

This look always makes me happy.  I fantasize about someday selling my living room furniture, all of which was mostly purchased on Craig's List anyway, and replacing it with wall to wall Moroccan style bench seating. Then, I'd litter my benches with amazing throw pillows.  Am I the only one with this fantasy?

I'd even settle for one wall of bench seating and throw pillows.

I've just embraced this after painting our fireplace wall. The hearth stretches wall to wall and is the perfect bench height. This weekend, I added six pillows and a short garden stool and nearly doubled the seating area in our family room.

So, no, you are not alone.

I used to have a double futon on the family room floor with a bunch pillows. It was very cozy and relaxing. We don't have kids, but it seems like it would be perfect for little ones since it's so easy to get into. Some rearranging landed a couch in there, but next year, I'm Craig's listing the couch and going back to the futon, maybe on a low platform bed to give it a little more finish. - Jean

I have been begging my husband to build me one too!

When we were first married, my husband took a box springs and mattress, covered them with fabric he had brought back from India and piled on the pillows.
Stepping into that little apartment in NYC, was like stepping into a little room in New Delhi, without the dust :)
It is great when there are children in the house as well as a lot of guests.. no one can feel stiff or formal with that sort of seating. I love it..

I share this dream with you! I think it would be a great look for a patio or banquet in a dining room too. I could sew a million pillows!

Hehe, I have a pillow like the ones in the last picture! I wish I had 3 ♥

I tried the bed-couch thing for a couple of years, was nice for a while but I realized I like regular couches a lot more!
