My son and I went on a picnic this weekend and I wanted to share a couple of snapshots. Here are the wildflowers growing gang-busters in front of the train station near the park where we picnicked. And the photo below is my son finishing up a red velvet cupcake. I love getting out during this wonderful weather for family picnics. Is it picnic weather where you are?

picnics are one of my FAVORITE things about spring and summer! lately spring weather has been playing hide and seek, but hopefully it will come back soon.
now i want red velvet cupcakes ;)
