Blog Friends Rock

Most of you know and love Donna at A Perfect Gray. Her blog is one of my faves - always filled with wit, wonderment and absolute gorgeousness. And I'm so excited because Donna has bestowed upon me the title of "Beautiful Blogger". I'm blushing, Donna, thank you so much, love. Most blog awards are designed to bring bloggers closer and to get to know each other better, and as Donna stated in her award post, "The gift-of-self is the best gift we can give". Donna, thank you for the honor and as is customary with these sweet awards, here are a few things you may or may not know about me:

1. Husband and Child
I love nothing more than spending time with these two guys. They make everything in life fun, rich, warm and worthwhile. They are where my day begins and where it ends.

2. Getting Ready
I love getting ready for anything - a party, a date, a performance, opening night, a journey - you name it. I relish all the planning and packing and prep. It soothes me.

3. France and all things French
From Art Nouveau to champagne to Audrey Tautou. I love it all and it definitely inspires my design aesthetic. I'm a Francophile of the highest order.

4. Journaling
In addition to other things, I'm a writer and playwright, which means I do a lot of mindless scribbling. I've been journaling almost daily since I was nine years old. I'm kind of addicted to it at this point, in the same way that I'm addicted to blogging.

5. I think Liam Neeson is Hawt
From the sublime to the ridiculous. I have a big thing for this dude.

6. My Mom's home
This is a view of my mother's home in Eastern Oregon. It is one of the dreamiest places on earth and I love it to bits. I can't think of any place I'd rather pass the time.

7. My Dad's home
And then of course there is my father's dreamy home in Scotland. He lives in a small fishing village and I'm constantly scheming about ways to get there more often. It is a miraculous place that feeds my soul.

***
I would like to pass on the Beautiful Blogger Award to these wonderful bloggers. Sweet cyber friends, there is no obligation to pass on the award - I just want to tell you that you make my life brighter, better and filled to the brim with beauty. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us!
