Tim Burton on the floor.

I have always loved the signature black and white striped costumes that Tim Burton designs for his films. And I also love the black and white striped flooring and area rugs I see posted recently on all the decor blogs.

I love this too! I have wanted to paint a wood floor in black and white stripes forever. In my new house I might have to at least get a rug.

I love b/w....so striking, those two neutrals contrasting like that! And, it makes you other things in the room look so nice. :)

Thank you! Aubrey has been talking about doing our floors in stripes like that but I needed a visual to see his concept. It really looks great!

What a fabulous post! In my humble opinion, there's nothing like a dash of black and white stripes to really add some spark to a room. Ok, black and white anything, but especially stripes, polka dots or houndstooth check!

haha I love this post, as a Burton fan I can't believe I didn't see the recurring stripes - I believe they also appear in Nightmare before Christmas - shall have to keep my eyes peeled in his next film
