Painting my living room!

After avoiding this looming project for the first five weeks that we were in our new home, I've finally painted my living room. It took WAY longer than I thought it would, but it as worth every hour! There were two huge light zapping features - the fireplace and a floor to ceiling hutch - that also needed some serious love. So here it is!

BEFORE:

AFTER:
Of course there is still lots to do, but this living room is feeling much more my own. The paint color on the fireplace is Swiss Coffee by Behr and the color on the walls is a lightened version of Mexican Feather Grass by Ralph Lauren Paint. Now for the hutch!

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I took the "before" photo after I had removed the super ugly upper cupboard doors. Again, I used the Swiss Coffee for the hutch and the back of the shelves is done in Ashwood by Behr - the same color that we did our master bedroom. What do you think?

Yeah... I've been contemplating the beams, but at this juncture, that seems like a lot of work. And yes... Doula. A Doula is a a birth support person. I assist women in labor. I love it! My website is www.ineedadoula.com if you want to know more about it. I'm so glad you're here and that you like my blog! Welcome.

Yeah... I'm going to do the beams. It might be after the holidays before I get to it. Ugh.
