Dress Forms

My grandmother was a costumer and she always had a few dress forms lying around. Once she wrapped one up with towels and masking tape across the breasts because the actor she was sewing for had HUGE boobs. I thought it was hilarious. I've got a dress form that I took from a J.Jill when they were "re-imagining" their look at the retail stores. She's made of cork and I've got her propped up at the end of my hallway. I love her, but every once in a while I come around the corner and see her looming in the hall - for an instant I think she's an intruder. Maybe I should find a different place for her.

I'm always looking for a vintage dress form but they are so $$$$. I would love to have one in my room to put all my favorite things on!

I love the vintage dress forms and would love to have one in my room wearing necklaces and scarves. My mother in-law has one that she uses still. I covet it intensely.

Sarah, Check out Babette Harvey, ceramics. Her busts are amazing! I've always loved the one you have, but, yes, take her out of the hallway before she gets clouted.
