The dining room table below came with our house. I am very grateful to have it, because without it, we'd be sitting on the floor during meals. However, I am not in love with the wood or the style. It's not really my bag.

Then I saw this:

Its basically my table with a groovy paint job. So, I'm keeping the table and putting yet another paint job on my gargantuan "to-do" list.

You can absolutely make that table more your style. And that room is so beautiful and light-filled, I can't wait to see how it turns out!
If I can convince the hubby, that's what I want to do to my current kitchen table too! Although I do have the slight complication of my table starting out as a painted particle-board-type dealie from Ikea.
