Bunker Chic

Straying from the path here for a minute: I don't intend to outfit a bomb shelter any time soon, but if I do, I'll definitely call designer, William T. Georgis. Here is his "safe room" featured in the 2009 Kips Bay Show House as seen in House Beautiful. Its got everything I need in one space: disco ball, guns, toilet, oxygen tank, Spam, liquor, water, Marlboros and a laptop.

Okay... they're not just for babies. I want one for myself too. I've got a few new babies in my life and I'm thinking about making a mobile. I like these:

Terrarium

I miss having a garden. If you, like me, live in an apartment with no gardening options, you might consider a terrarium. They remind me of that silly Saturday Night Live skit where every little box, jar and container was inspected and followed by the catch phrase was "You put your weed in it."

Tree House

I've stumbled upon some spectacular tree shaped decals and paint treatments for interior walls. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a Birch or an Oak or an Ash sprouting up from behind your living room furniture. Well here's your chance!
