In the Pagan wheel of the year, March 20th and 21st mark the spring equinox: that liminal point when the calendar is half way between the solstices (darkest day and the lightest day of the year). I'll be spending my spring equinox at the
Texas Style Council CAMP Retreat for bloggers in Central Texas. In addition to my usual travel gear, I'm packing a little candle, some dried sage and a mini-temple bell for when the weekend presents a quiet moment for meditation. I like to honor these earth-based holidays with a little altar-making and thanksgiving.
Do you celebrate the natural earth holidays?
How do you honor the spring equinox?

Tomorrow we're going for a hike in the woods. At home we'll do some Spring cleaning, decorate for Spring, and then have a ritual celebrating the return of Persephone, followed by a yummy, home-cooked dinner.
