2014 Year In Review

Every year I do a little re-cap of the previous year's completed projects and events. It's a nice way to take stock of the past 12 months and breathe a sigh of contentment (or regret) before pressing on to the year ahead. (If you're interested, you can take a look back at 201320122011and 2010.)  This has been a year of superlatives - the best, the worst, the brightest, the darkest. And while the year was filled with goodness and some wonderful "firsts", this year also brought with it the death of my beloved brother.

Thank you for being here, dear reader! I'm amazed that seven years later, La Maison Boheme is still going strong due to your readership and presence. Thank you and a very happy new year to you and yours. Here is my 2014 year in review in no particular order:

two
Planted a vegetable garden in my back yard.

five

six
My studio workspace was featured on Comet Party.

seven

eight
Photos featured in Cabin Life Magazine.

nine
I started a monthly newsletter.
(Well, almost monthly. I've had a slow autumn.)

ten

eleven

twelve

thirteen

fourteen

fifteen

sixteen

seventeen

eighteen
Moved my art studio from the converted garage to one of our bedrooms.

nineteen
A friend built a chicken coop in my backyard from 100 percent recycled materials.

twenty
And the most impactful piece of my year was the sudden passing of my beloved brother.
It might seen odd to include it here, but it seems to inform everything else.
