Artist Toby Klayman

I had the pleasure of meeting Toby Judith Klayman and her husband Joseph Mack Branchcomb about 14 years ago in San Francisco. I have a few tiny paper cut-outs created by Toby, which I treasure. But recently I've been eyeing her painted plates and ceramic pieces. I was so pleased to see that Toby's ceramics were recently featured in the New York Times!  I love her work - it's distilled, playful, expressive and filled with vitality. Here are some of her wood cut-outs:

And here are some of her ceramics:

And because I'm obsessed with artist's studios, here is Toby's workspace
in Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Isn't it marvelous?

Follow Klayman Studios on Facebook or visit Toby's website.

Here is a wonderful video featuring Toby and Joseph talking about their
beloved neighborhood in San Francisco, California.
