My grandpa used to have three or four of these utilitarian clamp lamps in his basement paint shop. To a little knee-high kid, they seemed like weird robots towering over my grandpa's work space. But now... What I wouldn't give to have just one of them for my studio table.
Love those! Need one! Do you remember the one that also had a large magnifying glass attached below it? That's the one I need! Just got my studio re-set up after about 6 years and I'm finding I do not see near as well as I used to...so sad! I'll be watching for one of these as I walk the aisle's of Antique Week in Roundtop / Warrenton Texas first week of April. Want me to watch for one for you?

both kinds are still readily available. i have both kinds, in fact! don't know how i lived without them now i am so dependent on them!
