I just spent three days in North Carolina saying goodbye to my Great Aunt who died early Sunday morning. She was 92. While it was a tough trip to make (my two-year-old Charlie joined me for the journey), it was a good one. I was able to spend some much needed time with my father's sister - a darling woman who I love very much but rarely see. The painting below is something I've been working on for her.
