Carrot Cupcake with Orange Fennel Topper

This is not a recipe.  The truth is, I used a box mix.  But I added some things to it to make it extra special.  I shredded four carrots from a neighbors garden and added a 1/2 cup of chopped pecans to the mix.  Then I sugared fennel flowers with fresh squeezed orange juice and powdered sugar for a pretty cake topper.  Here was the result:
