This is the master bedroom.
It never looks this good, so taking a photo for posterity is a must.
Below is the guest room. This room is a gimme.
I mean, if this bed isn't made - then there's a problem with my marriage.
Below is Charlie's nursery.
As you can see we adhere to the "creative piles" school of organization.
The Buddha in the corner is like, "Sheesh, these people... Look at all this shit!"
Below is Walker's room.
This is the good corner. Behind the camera is a colossal mish-mash of train track, Lego bits,
puzzle pieces, Thomas the Tank Engine paraphernalia, and overdue library books.

I hope you're having a great day!

Haha, cute post! Right now only one out of 5 beds in my house is made and it is the second, unused bed in my daughter's room. I have been feeling like things are getting out of hand in my house so it is good to see that someone else can admit to the absence of perfection.
In all honesty, your house looks fine to me.Who lives in a magazine anyway?
I love the humor in this post, perfect for a Monday morning! It's all gorgeous; such warm cozy colors!
Both beds are made and somehow I still wish that the little ones were here and beds were unmade and happy mayhem surrounded me.
SUCH lovely spaces! How great that must feel to have things in their place....what does that feel like exactly? :)
I am soooo impressed! My house never looks that good. As my children have gotten older I SWEAR their bedmaking skills have gotten worse!
Made it for once and even shook the quilt and blanket outside! Had to get some better feng shui in here.
I enjoy your blog--usually as a lurker.
i hardly make my bed. but i have been sleeping on top of the covers because dorms are overheated. i love your room with the blue couch in the front of the bed and the canopy thing above it.
Beautiful, every room! I have to ask where did you get that lovely canvas with the buddha? Stunning and really speaks to me... love!
Your home looks so comfy and inviting :)
Great rooms! I would not want to show you my bedroom right now. Your master bedroom is gorgeous and I love the curtain fabric in Charlie's room.
Chimmy - I picked up the Buddha print at a funny little store called Earthbound in a mall here in Dallas. It was a weird place that sold incense, prints, hermit crabs in little aquariums and ornate mirrors.
Thanks for reading!
Love the pictures of your bedroom and your kids'. So personal and eclectic, very happy home.
