I used to think that coral was an unusable color. It was too 80's. It was too girly. It was too cruise ship. It always made me think of the the coral and aqua Santa Fe colored upholstery on a love seat in my mom's old beauty shop. And when I say "old" I mean 1985. (So not really "old.)
So here's the scoop. Now, I love it. Thank you
Christine and
Jenny for making me see the light. These two ladies are always posting pretty coral delights on their blogs and now I'm a fan. I always see it used as a spring color, but I think it belongs with the golds, emeralds, browns, maroons and burnt oranges of autumn. Coral is really a mood and a feeling unto itself. Check it out...

Coralorgeous pix!
OK -- if I could have that bathroom, I *might* be a coral-convert!!
A big "yes" to coral! Growing up in New England, I didn't see much of it, so fortunately don't have negative associations.
It is especially stunning with that indigo blue!
Do you remember our coral bedroom on Pacific Ave? One of my favorite rooms I've ever had. French doors to the deck and all white comfy bedding. Ahhhh!
really an awesome colour for a room's wall, so warm and beautiful.
You're the sweetest- thank you so much for the mention!! I adore coral- such a warm/grown up pink:) Happy weekend lovely.
Thanks for posting all this coral goodness! I painted my office that color and it now my favorite room in the house.
Agree completely, although in my current home it would not look good at all.
Yup, I am coral convert too. I just painted my living room SW Faint Coral.
I have always loved coral in clothing but been really unsure how to make it work in the house! Thanks for the beautiful examples and inspiration

i'm sitting on a big coral quilt on my bed as we speak.
thanks for the link.

Oh mom... I do remember that room! It was crisp and really pretty. Very Bermuda.
I find myself using coral hues in my paintings lately. Must be a Golden Girls type of vibe in the air - errr, maybe that's going a little too far!

Such a warm, beautiful color. I love it mixed with the hot pink and dark blue.
