Dreamy Desks

I've been spending a lot of time at my desk lately.  My desk is a thin IKEA Malm table, which has worked very well for our small spaces over the past 6 years.  But these days,  I'm longing for something with a little more heft.  Aren't the office spaces below dreamy?

My desk is pictured below.  See what I mean?
Its time for something with a little more style and room to maneuver.
Here it is in my office.
(Don't mind the pull out bed - I had guests this weekend.)

The one in the first pic reminds me of the desk we saw at Lulu B's. Maybe you will find something at Canton...!

If you just want to add to your current look (because it does look great) maybe just adding some bookshelves overhead would give your that more "hefty" look.

i think you have done a great job with the office. If you want more of the looks you showed us above, you could place industrial filing cabinet on wheels under your desk and some cubes wire shelving above the desk

It looks great...love the colors. I have the black Crate and Barrel Campaign style desk (X's on each end) and love the flip down drawer. Very simple style, and very functional. Good luck, Trish

That second set up is awesome, except for the desk itself. Doesn't look enough like a working space, too many gewgaws. I like to see the clutter of papers, keyboard, pens, grungy coffee cups, etc on a desk.

Your IKEA table looks too high for typing comfort, especially with the dining chair (unless you're tall). You might be able to expand your workspace and help your shoulders and neck by slipping a smaller table, at least for your keyboard, under the IKEA thing. But heck, have fun hunting down a cool table or desk at an antiques mall. - Jean

I totaly saw that first desk at my local Salvation Army store earlier this week. I like your guest/office space and the deep wall color.

Have you thought about upholstering the desk in a funky fabric w/ upholstery tacks. Oh, and have glass cut to protect the top.

I love the space. Moody and cozy. I bet you have a hard time getting guests to leave :)
