Giveaway from Ruby Mountain Dye Works

Our 2010 Holiday Gift Guide continues today with a giveaway from Ruby Mountain Dye Works.  I have kept a journal (almost daily) since I was nine years old.  Journaling is one of my absolute favorite things to do.  It centers me, keeps me focused and serves as a calendar of all the important events and thoughts of my life.  If you're looking for great holiday gifts, look no further.  I'm excited to introduce you to Karen, a homeschooling mother of eight, and a textile artist working from her home studio in Central Georgia. She began dyeing fabrics 10 years ago for her own projects, and it wasn't long before her work attracted the attention of quilters who were soon requesting custom medleys. Her little endeavor eventually grew into the Ruby Mountain Dye Works. 

Karen is offering the quilted journal cover above to a lucky La Maison Boheme reader.  Isn't it stunning?  It's made with beautiful hand dyed fabrics and a gorgeous batik featuring serrated beech or chestnut leaves. This elegant, one of a kind, removable cover fits a standard 9-3/4" x 7-1/2" composition notebook, which is included. The front flap has a pocket for keeping your writing instruments handy and there is also included a sewn-in buff ribbon bookmark and a buff elastic band to keep your journal closed when not in use. The journal is lined in hand dyed fabric.
