I am fully aware that there has been, in the past few years, a huge push from more orthodox neutrals (brown, beige, taupe, tan) to gray as the "new" neutral. And I have to say... I'm totally on board. The grays make me so happy. I've been living with a sable gray bedroom for the last 9 months and it is possibly my most favorite bedroom ever. The color is soothing, cool, warm and sensual all at once. I love pairing grays with hard wood and velvet textiles. I have a Loden green velvet ottoman and wheat colored velvet floor length drapes in my bedroom to compliment the gray wall paint. Have you incorporated any gray into your abode?

To me grey/gray use to be such a dull color. I love it now. So peaceful but a lovely backdrop for pops of color.
Lovely examples of how beautiful gray can be in interiors!
These are lovely examples, I agree. I very nearly purchased some gray fabric for curtains, & then curtains (no time/energy to sew), & now doing nothing. For now.
But I do love it & am pleased to hear from my ever-chic-in-bohemian manner mother that she's redone her room (where she lives with a younger sister & family). The first thing she did was paint the walls gray. She says that it sets off the paintings, drawings, & so on that she has kept in her move. I keep it in mind now when I choose a card or small print for her...I expect photographs...maybe never.:)
I wish she'd get on the computer & look at posts such as yours. It would make her feel good, to be in good company, I think. (Apparently there has been some criticism from the less chic/interesting members of the family/friend contingent. That won't stop her, but really why would they criticize someone who is happy with what they've done with their space? Especially as the person's life circumstances have become so very limited. Grrr.)

I love grey too! In fact I've been using it a lot in my own home. Luv the images you posted with the daybed and that ruffle bedding...they're so dreamy!

yeah...and you picked my most favoritest rooms of all time.
but i am doing away with my gray keeping room/entry room.
everything is going to be super white.
I've become obsessed with gray lately, especially clothing. I love how versatile it is. Speaking of neutrals, there was a great cover story on last month's Martha Stewart Living about "super neutrals." Worth checking out. ;)
I'm about to start choosing a gray color for our living room that will probably also go into the bathroom. What color did you use?
Ashwood by Behr is the color we put in our bedroom. I love it.
