There is a room in my house that gets no attention. We've been in our new place for almost 5 months and I have not looked twice. My laundry room. I threw some stuff up on the walls, and it hasn't been touched since. But last week, something happened. Both the washer and dryer that came with the house went kaput. Now I have two new machines and a renewed love for modern technology. My grandmother used to wash clothes like this:
And in honor of my new machines, I'd like to spruce things up a bit. Here are my new best friends courtesy of my home warranty company:
What to do, what to do! I know it can be easily remedied, I simply need a little inspiration. My checklist includes recycling, laundry bins, a work surface, someplace to hang dry clothes that don't get folded and someplace to keep odds and ends like plastic bags, reusable grocery totes, etc. Here are some laundry rooms to die for:

I saw an episode on HGTV where they redid a laundry room in a beautiful, sunny yellow with white trim. Oh, so fresh looking! Love all your storage pictures.
My laundry room is definitely the most embarrassing thing in my house. I would be mortified if it was ever posted on the web! :) Thanks for all the inspiration.
