Congratulations! What an exciting time for you guys. Can't wait to hear all about the home buying process. Trying to think of words of advice ... I'm sure you already know this but the right home will speak to you so don't be discouraged if you look and look and don't find something right away. Also, we've lived here almost 3 years and I'm just now getting color on the walls and working on designing rooms. It took a while to get a feel for what the rooms purpose would be. That probably won't be an issue for you though with your excellent design ideas!
i am going thru this too. make sure you have some money for a downpayment. the more you have the better. no one told me i needed about 10 grand cold hard cash to buy a house.
