Beams in the Kitchen
My mom is in the process of remodeling her kitchen in Eastern Oregon. She and her husband tore out the inner ceilings to reveal not only a vaulted roofline, but also wood beams! I'm so excited to see what she does with the space, but until then, her home improvement projects has me thinking about beamed ceilings in the kitchen.

Room of the Day
I stumbled upon this bedroom while browsing Pinterest yesterday. Good Lawd, I'm in love! The rich color of the wood, the gray bed, the curtains, the embellished ceiling and the ornately trimmed double doors make for a knock-out space. Marvelous!

Artist Feature | Paco Camús
Paco Camús describes his pieces as "functional sculptures" and are a cross between furniture and art. His pieces are so unique that it is sometimes difficult to ascertain their function just by looking. I have a soft spot in my heart for all things Art Nouveau, and these pieces seem to stem from that tradition. Hailing from Valencia Spain, Paco now makes his home in Connecticut. He studied Industrial Design and was influenced by comic book art of the '80's. But I'll wager that if he were pressed, he would agree with their Art Nouveau connection. Check out these astonishing furniture pieces below:

La Maison Boheme hit ten thousand followers today on Pinterest!

Home Tour | Frank Gehry Does Malibu
I just ran into this beautiful home tour in Architectural Digest. The house was designed by legendary architect Frank Gehry in 1968 as a live/work space for artist, Ron Davis. The upstairs living room, formerly the art studio (below), is my favorite part of the house. The huge Larchwood beams are spectacular! Now this amazing place is home to actor Patrick Dempsey, his wife Jillian and their three children.

White, Wood, and a Touch of Gray
What a refreshing color combo. I need a little serenity on this cloudy day in Dallas, so I'm filling this post with gorgeous, quiet, spacious, calm rooms. My life has been nothing short of crazy this week. My son has been having seizures, I've been recovering from an ear infection and I've just begun rehearsals for a show. I need a zen moment. How about you?

Reclaimed Wood Accent Wall
The wall treatment below, created by Dallas based artist Sarah Reiss, is blowing my mind. It's made completely of reclaimed wood. Its made of gymnasium floors, bowling alley floor, shiplap and barn wood. Isn't it spectacular? You can see more of Sarah's work at her Etsy shop: R&R Designworks.
