Tile Floors for the Outdoor Room

Tile floors on the patio! Be still my heart. Here in Texas, I see a lot of Mexican style outdoor tile. I love the look of it. While I certainly can't afford to do a full patio as in the photos below, I sometimes dream about creating a small tile accent on the steps to my front door or a little detail work around my patio breezeway. It might be a good solution for keeping costs down but still enjoying the flavor and color that only tile can create.

Perhaps another option may be to stain a stencil pattern onto the concrete. Kinda muted- like the pic with the cat. Royal Design has a nice selection of large format stencils with a Moroccan feel.

Love this look Sarah! You know the image of the front porch with the black and white striped chair cushions is actually painted and stenciled concrete! Ive loved that image for so long. The stencil is a Royal Design Studio stencil. I sourced it when I was deciding on a design for my stenciled kitchen floors. I also really love the look of terracotta tiles.
