Radical Homemaking | Compost Happens

Now that I'm home from my summer travels, my energies are turning towards some home improvement projects. The first thing on my list is to build a three-bin composting station in our side yard. I've been wanting to do this for the past few years, but as with so many things, never got around to it. No more procrastinating! I like the three-bin system pictured below. My goal is to build something like the bins pictured below. I want to have it up and running by the end of the month. Do you have an at-home compost set-up? Tell me about it! I'm all ears...

Those are the most beautiful compost bins I've ever seen! The only one I ever had was a green plastic single-bin one supplied free of charge by the city I lived in at the time. It worked well, but definitely had to be placed where you couldn't see it from the house.
I think it's important to place it in a convenient spot, so you're more likely to use it every day.
