All of my windows are flanked by floor-to-ceiling drapes - full sized panels that feel very grand and lush. I have always loved the look of long curtains, but all of these beautiful Roman shades are so fresh and simple that I might have to give them a try. What style of window coverings do you have in your home? ...or do your windows go commando?
The kitchen has blue and white Toile Roman shades, the rest of the house has Linen Drapes, in natural color. All of the doors and windows in my home are French doors/windows so we need super long window coverings.
ReplyDeleteI don't love them though, they strike me as a touch old fashioned .. great long lengths of fabric hanging everywhere.. I love the clean/neat look of the shades.
If I went hog wild at the drapery lady's store- every window would be a Roman shade.. black and white in the bath and the rest a natural pale color...
I was just thinking of doing roman shades in our master instead of drapes. The windows in there are small so I thought this would keep more light in the room by hanging them up really high. BTW I'm totally jealous of your ATL road trip! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteAll my windows go commando b/c they are 19th century arched windows and I hate to cover them up! Although, in past apartments, I have done woven grasscloth roman shades. In this case it depends how much light you want to keep out, because that will determine whether you do a fabric backing or not! Love the second photo best.
ReplyDeleteMy windows have full length voiles/sheers and drapes but I love roman blinds. They have such a romance about them, and these ones you've shown are just lovely (as are the rooms)!
ReplyDeleteMeera xx
I love these places, I love the light, the fact that the sun brings out the good in every space.
ReplyDeleteStrangely, I don't have an roman blinds but I'd love some- we presently have a mix of curtain panels and california shudders- hope to get rid of the main floor shudders and replace with gorgeous blinds such as these- lovely inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLovely places, light and tiny details :) i like very much the atmosphere and industrial items!
ReplyDeleteI loved all the rooms especially the last one. All are stylish and well decorated.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful window, the blinds really fit the window and the arrangement fits the room. Wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this outfit.
