The folding screen in the corner was a decoupage project that my grandmother did back in the late 60s. It's covered with lines of poetry and DaVinci portraits.Sarah Greenmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11996115971325480478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-325053634023073192.post-58785012159606122262012-01-06T16:33:58.344-08:002012-01-06T16:33:58.344-08:00Framed place mats! Great idea re: the placemats and framing them!
I wanted to let you know that while your figure is Mother Mary (it looks to be a sacred heart of Mary figure), it's not technically a Lady of Guadalupe. That's a very specific image, based on the story of the appearance of Mary to Juan in Mexico all those many years ago. This knowledge is what happens when you grow up in a Mexican Catholic family! Ha!
That being said, you've got to get you a Lady of Guadalupe because it TOTALLY goes with your style, a little romantic, incredibly colorful and comes with a story!Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533260545637265242noreply@blogger.com
