Who Is Jenny Lind?

I'm not sure why these cool knobby wooden furniture pieces are named after the Swedish opera singer, Jenny Lind. Anyone know the answer to this mystery? Here's a portrait of the singer:

    no i don't know the answer but for the longest time as a youth i thought i was named after her. being jenny LYNN was close in sound to jenny LIND.

    Jenny Lind at one point was also a name of a wallpaper line by Seabrook. Interesting.
